Book clubs
Book club sets
A number of book club sets are available for loan to established book club groups through Queensland public libraries. Book club coordinators should contact their local library and register the group to access these sets. This service is currently available to Queensland public libraries. Contact your public library for information regarding services to book clubs.
Junior book club sets
Junior book club sets are available to support junior activities within your library. The number of copies in each set can vary from five to ten. Sets are made up of titles chosen from any of the following sources:

Multiple copies of the same title as part of the Little Big Book Club. These have been broken into sets of five. Multiple copies of sets of the same title are catalogued under the one bibliographic record with one barcode per set of five.

Themed sets. These bring together non-fiction as well as fiction resources that share a theme or an author’s body of work.

How to use the sets?
- See a list of the book club sets available for loan in the Public Library Development catalogue.
- Each set has been catalogued as a single unit with one barcode number per set.
- The sets are available for a short term loan of 6 weeks and will be sent to the first library that places a hold.
- The sets cannot be booked for a specific date.
- Book club sets are kept in individual boxes and the borrowing library undertakes to return the complete set in the book club box to Public Library Development.
- Replacements for lost or damaged books are the responsibility of the borrowing library.

- Reading guides and reviews for individual titles can be located by searching the Internet and subscription databases such as Literature Resource Center and Good Reading.
