The Garage image gallery is a photographic album of Queensland motoring history from the collections of the John Oxley Library.

To find images from a particular time period, type the nearest decade to the period you are interested in, eg. Ford 1930 finds images of Ford vehicles in the period 1920 – 1940. You can also search for vehicle types, concepts or locations (eg. buses, timber, Toowoomba) alone or with a decade.
Tip. If you are looking for truck information, note that the library uses both truck and trucks in the subject headings. Search using both words for full coverage.
Tip. Use the Results List tab to go back from a full record to your search results. If the images on your search results appear scrambled or duplicated, use the Refresh button on your browser to bring them back.
