State Library of Queensland – the main public site – this site, including our databases and e-books, information for a wide variety of user groups, information about our services, The Garage, the Len and Kath Shillam papers, our new Virtual books, and much more.

The 200km city: from Noosa to the Tweed – a virtual exhibition about the development of the Southeast Queensland region over the past century.

A

Artists' books – a subsite of the main public site, devoted to some of the artists' books held in the State Library's Australian Library of Art.

Across the Coral Sea – a virtual exhibition based around 32 historical images from the John Oxley Library photograph collection, highlighting the role played by South Sea Islanders in the development of Queensland in the 19th century.

Catalogues – the two OPACs (Online Public Access Catalogues) for the State Library's collections:

Child's play – another virtual exhibition, containing over 1,000 John Oxley Library photographs mainly of children growing up in rural and regional Queensland in the period from the 1890s to the 1920s.

The Corner - a new program for children under 8 years, available online as well as onsite at South Bank. With the support of their parents and families, children can explore this site and engage in a creative hands-on and minds-on experience of a digital exhibition, on-line games and reading activities.

A gift of presence – a virtual exhibition presenting images of Queenslanders, from Cathy Freeman to Sir Joh Bjelke-Petersen, and their words describing how they have felt about reconciliation.

Johnstone Gallery archive – a virtual exhibition focussing on the Johnstone Gallery, a well-known Brisbane commercial art gallery during the 1950s and 1960s.

Manuscripts Queensland – also a subsite of the main public site, concentrating on original materials from the John Oxley Library collections.

Music Queensland – a subsite that concentrates on music scores and sound recordings from the State Library's collections.

NetLinks – this database provides information about authoritative, quality Internet sites selected in those subject areas most frequently requested by State Library clients.

OzEverse – a searchable index of Australian (and some New Zealand) poetry in major anthologies held by the State Library.

Picture Queensland – a major subsite of the main public site, providing access to original pictorial materials from the John Oxley Library collections.

Q

Queensland digital library – a search engine that lets people search across the State Library's various collections of digitised objects (including images, music and manuscripts) and online archival finding guides.

Queensland stories – a site where Queensland digital stories are collected and published - stories about our community, houses, special places and things we love to do; stories about arriving, living, holidaying, and politics in Queensland.

Queenslanders in the South African War – a searchable database of the names and other details for South African War soldiers whose portraits appeared in 1899-1902 issues of The Queenslander newspaper.

Rawson archive – this site showcases a rare collection of hand-written pen and ink-illustrated diaries and photographs relating to members of the Rawson family, who were among the first European settlers in the Mackay area.

Summer Reading Club - where children from age 6 to 16 are encouraged to use their imagination to explore and discover a world of fun and interactive activities including puzzles, book reviews, games, virtual books and online chats with authors.

Venue hire - online booking of venues within the State Library's new building at South Bank, Brisbane.
