The 2010-11 summer of floods and cyclones was recorded through hundreds of thousands of photos captured on everything from mobile phones to high definition cameras. SLQ has worked with digital artist Jason Nelson to create the Flood and Cyclone Mosaic as a way to showcase these diverse images - a tapestry of recent events through the eyes of Queenslanders.

With each click of the Mosaic, new associations, new ideas and scenes emerge, generating unexpected narratives from a changing sea of stories.

We welcome your photos to help create a digital visual record of what happened to share with current and future generations - as a way of remembering, learning, understanding and healing.

As a major collecting initiative of the John Oxley Library, photos uploaded to the Mosaic may be considered for inclusion in State Library's permanent collection.
