Mrs Lance Rawson’s cookery book and household hints is one of the first cookbooks to have Australian, and more specifically Queensland, recipes and ingredients.

This cookery book is part of Becoming Queensland.  Only selections of the book have been digitised.

The terminology used in this book is reflective of the age it was written. Some of the language, particularly relating to Indigenous peoples, may offend some people.

The shipboard diary of Maria Steley. This virtual book comprises pages 93 – 112 of the diary kept by 15 year old Maria during her voyage from England to Brisbane in 1863–1864 on board the “Ariadne”.
