Collections Australia Network [new window] - search for cultural institutions, collections and exhibitions by state and region
Museum and Gallery Services Queensland's Museum and Gallery Finder [new window] "contains information about over 350 museums, galleries, historical societies, and other cultural heritage sites throughout Queensland."

- Investigate the site's search facility/option, where provided. Usually, search help or tips are available.
- When searching, be specific. Enter the phrase in inverted commas. For example, in Google, type "cyclone wanda" queensland rather than cyclone wanda queensland
- Try an advanced search, where available. In Google, as an example, you can restrict by domain name - qld.gov.au to further reduce results.
