A number of digitised photographs can now be found on State Library of Queensland's image database, Picture Queensland. Over 30 000 images from John Oxley Library's photographic collection have been scanned and indexed on Picture Queensland, and can be searched by keyword.

Picture Queensland contributes its images to Picture Australia - a national image database run by the National Library of Australia [new window http://www.nla.gov.au]. Picture Australia currently contains over 1 000 000 Australian images from libraries, museums, galleries, archives, universities and other cultural agencies around the country.
