Hotspots help
Hotspots highlight points of interest in the panorama image.
The links are also displayed as text below the panorama, so you won't miss out if you can't find them.
Hotspots in Quicktime panoramas
Two types of hotspots are available when viewing the Quicktime version of a panorama - 'information only', and 'information plus link' (ie you can click on them).
Information appears in the 'status line' of the Quicktime viewer, a change in form of the mouse-cursor when pointing at a hotspot indicates when the hotspot also contains a link.
To make the hotspots easier to locate when viewing the Quicktime version, turn on hotspot highlighting, like this:

In some versions of Quicktime, clicking this button once will only briefly highlight the hotspots. If this seems to be the case with your version, try double-clicking the button, to highlight the hotspots until you choose to turn the feature off.
Hotspots in JPEG panoramas
When viewing the JPEG version, only the clickable 'information plus link' type of hotspot occurs. Hotspots are identifiable by a change in the form of the mouse cursor.
Information appears in the form of floating text near the mouse-cursor, or text in the 'status line' of your browser, or both. Software bugs in some situations unfortunately prevent this display of information.
