I found this cake stand in an antique shop and bought it when I ran a catering company. We used to cater for weddings just so we could use this stand. Cutting the cake is a peak moment in most of our celebrations – it’s the time when speeches are made, tears are shed and applause is given. Cakes symbolise the milestones in our lives - birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, reunions, openings…
