Nick EarlsLiterature: Nick Earls

What do you do if you’re born in Northern Ireland, have an Honours degree in Medicine and enjoy making people laugh? Write novels, of course!

Nick Earls is an award-winning author of more than a dozen books for teenagers and adults. As well as being translated into languages other than English, some of his novels have been adapted for the stage and silver screen.

When he’s not scribbling, Earls volunteers for community organisations that assist disadvantaged children. He led a team that established the Australian arm of the international aid agency War Child, and is currently patron of Hands on Art and an honorary ambassador for both the Mater Hospitals Trust and the Abused Child Trust in Queensland.
