Exhibition: Queenslanders on the Veldt

Temporary railway bridge

Major Rankin, Commanding the 5th Contingent, Queensland Imperial Bushmen, gave high praise to his men and members of the Engineers and Railway Pioneer Regiment for the construction of this lower level bridge in only 5 days after the main bridge was destroyed by the Boers.
