In this world of 'media convergence', news is available from a variety of electronic sources as well as traditional newspapers. The Tim Fairfax Newspaper Reading Room provides access to many of these formats in a convenient and relaxing environment.
Traditional paper newspapers
Today's Australian dailies and a selection of Queensland and overseas newspapers in paper format are available to read in the Tim Fairfax Newspaper Reading Room. A selection of newspaper titles are available on the shelf for two weeks from the date of publication.
Newspapers online via PressDisplay
Over 300 international newspaper titles are delivered to the Tim Fairfax Newspaper Reading Room electronically each day via the PressDisplay online system. From China Daily to Wirtschaftsblatt, these are available for 45 days from their date of publication in full image format, including all photographs and advertisements.
Tip: To navigate within PressDisplay, click on a page or image of interest, or find the full list of newspapers by using the 'Select title...' button.
Access PressDisplay [new window] within the State Library of Queensland building.
