The State Library offers indexes and databases to help you find articles in newspapers and journals. The catalogue also provides links to some online journals and electronic publications.
Please ask us for help finding material such as ephemera (eg exhibition programs), original art works, oral histories, archival material, and photographs and sheet music awaiting cataloguing.
Requesting material
Some South Bank collections are housed in staff-only areas. We will retrieve the items you wish to use.
You can request material from the collections using our catalogues. Items will be brought to delivery points on Levels 3 and 4 of the State Library's South Bank building, depending on the type of material requested.
If you have an e-services card, you can request some South Bank collections material from home.
