Introducing ebooks to SLQ
The State Library of Queensland has recently subscribed to ebooks from Ebook Library (EBL). EBL is an online ebook “lending” service. It contains over 94,000 titles, covering every subject area. The ebooks are available offsite to Queensland residents with an e-services card or a QPL account. This means you now have an option to access book content without visiting the library.
You can search for EBL titles via the State Library Collections tab on our One Search catalogue. From your results list, go to the details tab of the record you want to view. An EBL record will have a link in the links panel showing Online @ EBL - Onsite@slq + offsite access for e-services members and Queensland public library (QPL) account holders
If you are onsite at the State Library, you will be able to view, print or copy pages from the ebook without logging in. However, if you are accessing the ebook from a remote location, you will need to log in with your e-services card or QPL account.
For further information on how the ebooks work, see the Help section in One Search
