Queenslanders have access to a number of authoritative, subscription-only databases that are not available through Google or other free search engines.
Onsite access at your public library or State Library
Onsite access is easy - visit your local Queensland public library, or the State Library of Queensland at South Bank, Brisbane, and connect using one of the onsite computers. You may also be able to access these databases using the library's wireless service.

Naxos Music LibraryA comprehensive collection of classical music online for listening (over 90,000 tracks and over 7,000 composers represented) . It includes the complete Naxos, Marco Polo and Da Capo catalogues of over 75,000 track, Genres include classical, historical, jazz, blues, world, folk, new age and Chinese music. Browsing by composer or category is possible. The advanced search engine allows searching by composer, genre, country, work title, period, year of composition, instrument, name of artist, or a combination of these. Queensland Pioneer IndexAn index to births, deaths and marriages in Queensland after compulsory civil registration was introduced in 1856. Coverage extends up to the end of 1889. The index also includes records of baptism and burial (commencing in 1829) and marriage (commencing in 1839) which were collected from church registers by the Registry of Births Deaths and Marriages. Records show complete date for the event, and a reference number for the registration certificate. Birth and death records show parents' names and marriage records show the name of the spouse.
