MUSIC SCORES

The collection includes the complete works of important composers such as Bach, Beethoven and Mozart. State Library has a large collection of performance sets for orchestras, bands and choirs. We also hold more than 2000 popular songbooks. You can search pop, rock and folk song titles in the catalogue to find the songbook you need.

May I borrow music?

The State Library score collection is a lending collection. Most scores can be borrowed and borrowing is free of charge. Find out more about borrowing music from the State Library's score collections.

Did you know?

State Library has over 50 different versions of Australia's most famous song Waltzing Matilda, including a version for piano accordion, and some variations for flute, guitar and piano.

You can access selected offsite databases to search for electronic journal, magazine and newspaper articles. You will be prompted to login with your e-services card or QPL account.
Some State Library items are available for loan to other libraries. Contact your local library for information about interlibrary loan and copy services.
