Fondly remembered by many, Queensland School Readers were used to teach three generations of Queensland school children how to read.

While furthering literacy, they offered a world of literature in the form of Greek myths, Aesop's Fables, folk tales and fairy stories from around the world and, of course, the cream of Australian prose and poetry. These old school friends offer us the opportunity to re-connect with our literary history and perhaps introduce some of our favourites to younger family members.

Browse Level 4 or request items from onsite ‘Closed Access’ storage with your e-services card. If you order Closed Access items via the One Search catalogue ahead of your visit, items should be waiting for you when you arrive. You can order up to 3 days in advance.
