Roll up! Roll up! The circus is coming to town for holiday fun in January!

Join the troupe for astounding feats, hands-on activities, musical minstrels and much more carnival fun.

At the main stage, watch the awe-inspiring antics of CIRCA acrobats as they battle the clock to bring you 31 Circus Acts in 30 Minutes. Then head to the free sideshow where you can sharpen your circus skills, design your own circus costume, and join the Grand Parade.  

It’s fast, furious fun for the whole family!

Swamp by Gary Clark Cartoon, Animation and Manga workshops

Want to learn the art of visual storytelling? Then get your creative juices flowing at Cartoon, Animation and Manga workshops.

Workshops are carefully designed to cater for different age groups and various learning styles. There are two workshops each day. You have the option to choose one workshops or take advantage of this wonderful opportunity and stay for the whole day at a reduced rate.

GameOn_lead_gameon Game On

Get ready to play your way through the history of videogames at the international blockbuster exhibition Game On. This action-packed celebration of videogames culture has thrilled more than one million players of all ages around the world. This summer it’s coming to Brisbane.

Game On tracks the development of videogames from the earliest computer games to arcade-era hits and the very latest from today’s billion-dollar industry. With more than 100 playable games, as well as rarely seen consoles, controllers and collectables, this is a showcase of games history like no other.

Start the day with a stretch – come to Yoga at The Corner! With breathing, stretching and simple postures, it’s the only way to spend Monday morning. Suitable for mums, mums to be, dads, grandparents, friends, babies and all under 8s.

The Shed The Corner

Colour

From the birds in the sky to the banana you ate for breakfast – the world is filled with Colour… especially at The Corner. Paint the town red, see a blue moon or be as white as a ghost – with colourful language, colourful creatures and colourful people, the full spectrum is on offer.

The Corner is a creative hands on and minds on place and program for children under 8. Featuring an exhibition from Dr. Barbara Piscitelli’s AM Children’s Art Archive, unique artworks, daily artist-led activities, wonderful books, fun and educational toys and online activities – your visit to The Corner offers a joyous journey of discovery.

Drop in between 10am–12noon daily and you and your child can participate in engaging and original artist-led activities. The Corner is especially for children U8 years, their parents, carers, educators and friends.

Parlour The Parlour

Are you game to enter The Parlour?

Join the fun in The Parlour, a special space where you can borrow and play new and traditional parlour games.

Drop in on Sunday for the Family Challenge and spend an enjoyable afternoon learning new games like
Blokus and Sequence or see the Black Knight challenge multiple players to a game of chess thanks to the Chess Association of Queensland.

Want to learn Chess from the experts? Join the Chess Tutor once a month to hone your skills.

kuril Explore Indigenous culture

kuril dhagun Indigenous Knowledge Centre

 

Learn the tale of Kuril and Young Kippa, listen to stories from Aboriginal communities and gain a deeper understanding of the history of Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders using the touch screens in the kuril dhagun Indigenous Knowledge Centre. The first of its kind in any state library in Australia, kuril dhagun provides access to the history, languages and culture of Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders.
