GLAM sector and digital innovation
Australia’s museums, galleries and other cultural institutions must adopt more of a digital strategy with their collections if they are to remain relevant with audiences. Cultural institutions need to consider the visitor experience that they can provide, in a new medium of exchange, and indeed to a new audience that may not actually physically visit the institution.
Digital services, access and interaction, need to be placed at the core of operations and visitor experience, to be integrated and cohesive to the overall offering rather than as an add-on.
