A night by the fire with Arkie Barton

Arkie Barton is a fashion designer of a self-titled label Arkie.

Arkie grew up with a close relationship to visual arts, so creativity has always played a significant role in her self expression. Her Indigenous heritage has largely informed the journey of her creative practice, from fine arts to fashion and textile design.Arkie used her graduate collection to springboard her self-titled brand, Arkie the Label. This endeavour seeks to establish a platform from which mainstream Australia can interact with contemporary Indigenous Australian culture and art on a more accessible level.
