Tea & Me: tell us why you love a cuppa
Whether it’s English Breakfast, Chai or Rooibos, sipped from bone china, stoneware or titanium, Queenslanders enjoy a good cuppa.
State Library of Queensland, in partnership with Cancer Council Queensland’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, is seeking special tea cups and tea-related stories from individuals and communities across Queensland.
Stories collected will be added to State Library’s Tea & Me collection, and selected tea cups will be collected for display on the State Library’s iconic Queensland Terrace and online.
The story may be in the form of a special card, photograph, letter or other memento, or may be a tale told by text, sound or video file.
The tea cup may be one passed down through generations; the sole possession of your relatives when they arrived in Australia; a cup you used to share tea with a long lost friend; a reconciliatory cuppa with a family member, or one that sparks a special memory.
