Think Outside - Society
Think Outside invites local, national and international design thinkers to contemplate a ‘wicked problem’ outside their area. Think Outside: Society asks design thinkers to explore the question 'how might we design out homelessness?'
Homelessness is a complex issue, which encompasses many other societal problems such as unemployment, mental health, family breakdown and domestic violence. This complexity means there is no easy solution to homelessness.
The design thinkers making up the panel for this event are typographer and designer Catherine Griffiths (NZ), co-founder of Holloway Eyewear, Raffaele Persichetti, and QUT Associate Professor Dr Barbara Adkin.
Each speaker has 10 minutes to present their ideas, setting the platform for a considered debate and discussion around the practical implications of these new ideas.
